Art Projects

My creative practice investigates how sensory aspects of memory making can be translated into textile, sound and moving image. Using hand-embroidery, oral storytelling and ethnographic field recordings, my work addresses ambivalent feelings towards home as a person with mixed heritage. Born to a German mother and a Jordanian-Palestinian father, I work with autobiographical and speculative narratives on belonging in Germany and the UK.
