Teaching

I teach curation, critical theory, ethnography, and anthropological approaches to sound and mixed media art. Currently, I’m running the short course Sound, Ethnography and the Archive at University College London (UCL). I previously taught at the University of Oxford, the Department of Interdisciplinary Humanities and Department of Music at King’s College London.

Alongside my academic teaching, I run hands-on workshops with diaspora artists and activists, focusing on counter-archival practices, ethical archiving and recording techniques using low-cost and craft-based methods and materials. My workshops are informed by inclusive arts practices and decolonial research methods into creative well-being.

Check out the archival skills workshop I ran with Armenian DJ and sound archivist Olivia Melkonian the Ambivalent Archives Network, University of Cambridge.
